Behind the mask.

She is seductive, alluring, and she should never be denied self-belief and pride in her own beauty. Beauty belongs to everyone and yet to no one. Love is plenty and can be admired. Love creates the silence of tranquility, the noise of happiness, and the whispers of care.

Women are free and can fly, it is a right. Cage her and she will exist for nothing except torment, set her free and she will paint over storms and wash rivers clean. Stand in her way and her courage and strength will push you over. No nation, no religion, no tradition, no man. The right is not yours to deny.

NOW TURN HER UPSIDE DOWN AND YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENT WOMAN.

It has been a busy month and yesterday I needed to get out some paintbrushes, as usual, I had no idea what I would create but this woman emerged. Maybe I have been feeling a little trapped lately and I needed to express there is some inner beauty swirling around. As women, we often mask our own beauty. We do this when we do not appreciate how worthy we really are. I often feel unappreciated and I have learned how to mask the hurt. It is a skill we often use to survive. I am not complaining. Our feelings are for us alone to deal with.

I liked her when she appeared, there is a sadness there, but wherever she is placed, she will be loved and appreciated.

Hiya, I am Lauren, a lifestyle traveller, writer and health Nerd. Due to lockdown I decided to get on with writing my blog and catching up with friends new and old. I believe we are one world that for most of us wants to promote peace and goodwill to each other, wherever you are in the world I wish you well. I hope we connect and share our stories.
