I have searched for a memory – Moontox is calling.
She talks of two moons in a sky that is dawning.
I wake and remember, what comes after grey,
the skies have been darker than usual this day.
The planet was screaming
words polluting on tongues,
no longer was breathing fresh air to its lungs.
And up bright and early the moontox appears,
down on earthly creatures caught wrapped up in fear.
She smiles in frustrationt, the last time to ask,
so now she takes action to force us and grasp.
Lockdown all the people and hide behind doors,
to stop illness spreading as she settles her score.
The roads are now empty, we sit and we wait,
who knows what will happen, have we left it too late?
Bright morning of moontox, she’s blown away mist,
and far over China, pollution can lift.
Blow kisses to clouds and welcome the sun,
hold hands across nations,
the healing’s begun.
The splurge of humanity, it writes on the wall,
on the ground, in the oceans, it writes on it all.
So imprison the nations, for the power of good,
to reflect on our actions, is that understood?
The skies over China, Italy, Spain.
The skies over continents can clear once again.
The breath of good health, not drops of disease,
will trickle on kisses, the freedom to sneeze.
So sing out your window and wave to your friends,
we’re one global community,
clearly trying to cleanse.
I wrote this a year ago today, and well, here we all are, still doing as we are told.
