The Promise

Hands clasped to mine we have walked.

As giants together we have faced our adventures.

And now you face it alone as you have done before.

And I face mine as I hurt not to be with you.

You, a daughter of determined demands.

I love your endurance I shower it with pride.

You a daughter of laughter and mischief.

Who embellishes her independence.

Then looks back to see if I am still there, watching.

My promise is maybe silent.

Be certain I will keep it.

My hand reaches out to clasp yours.

I will never let go.

I will be there when you look back.

From the corner of your eye.

To an aching piece of heart.I am there.

Hiya, I am Lauren, a lifestyle traveller, writer and health Nerd. Due to lockdown I decided to get on with writing my blog and catching up with friends new and old. I believe we are one world that for most of us wants to promote peace and goodwill to each other, wherever you are in the world I wish you well. I hope we connect and share our stories.
